In Colombiana 2, Zoe Saldana reprises her role as Cataleya Restrepo, the deadly assassin seeking justice and redemption. The sequel picks up years after the events of the first film, with Cataleya now living under a new identity, trying to leave her violent past behind. However, her quiet life is shattered when a powerful international arms dealer, Victor Kane (played by Jason Statham), targets her after she unknowingly disrupts one of his operations.
The story begins with Cataleya rescuing a young girl from a human trafficking ring, only to discover that the ring is connected to Kane’s global criminal empire. Kane, a ruthless and calculating villain, sends his mercenaries after her, forcing Cataleya to come out of hiding. With her skills sharper than ever, she embarks on a mission to dismantle Kane’s empire piece by piece, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
